Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Finrato and our free financial calculators. Can't find what you need? Email us at [email protected].

Are Finrato's calculators free to use?

Yes — every calculator on Finrato is completely free, with no limits. There is no subscription and no hidden cost.

Do I need to create an account or sign up?

No. You can use all of our tools instantly, without registration, login or providing any personal details.

Is my data safe? Do you store what I enter?

Your data stays private. All calculations run entirely in your browser — the figures you enter are never sent to or stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How accurate are the results?

Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and standard financial formulas. They may not reflect every fee, tax, insurance cost or a specific provider's terms, so treat them as a guide.

Is this financial advice?

No. Finrato provides informational and educational tools only. We are not a bank, lender, broker or financial adviser, and nothing here is financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making a decision.

Which calculators does Finrato offer?

We offer a loan/repayment calculator, household budget, take-home salary, compound interest, inflation, debt payoff, rent vs buy, car running costs and a percentage calculator. See them all on our calculators page.

Can I use Finrato in my own currency?

Yes. The calculators are currency-agnostic and work with any currency — just enter your amounts. Examples on the site are shown in common currencies such as GBP, EUR and PLN.

How is a loan repayment calculated?

We use the standard annuity (equal-payment) formula: payment = principal × monthly rate × (1+rate)^n ÷ ((1+rate)^n − 1), where n is the number of monthly payments and the monthly rate is the annual rate ÷ 12.

What is compound interest?

Compound interest is interest calculated on both your original amount and the interest already added, so your balance grows faster over time. Try our compound interest calculator to see it in action.

Does Finrato work on mobile?

Yes. The site is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops — no app to install.

Is Finrato available in other languages?

Yes — Finrato is available in English, Polish and Latvian. Use the language switcher at the top of any page.

How is Finrato funded and how do I contact you?

Finrato is free and funded by advertising and affiliate partnerships, at no extra cost to you. For questions, feedback or a correction, email [email protected] or visit our contact page.
